Privacy is extremely important to Speed Dating Pty Ltd. Your personal details will not be given to anyone except with your express consent. By registering for an Speed Dating Pty Ltd event you are giving permission to Speed Dating Pty Ltd to forward on your details (such as name, email address and contact phone number) to any participant you ‘match’ with.

Apart from this, your personal details will remain confidential. We will maintain this information in our secure database and may use it to contact you with information regarding future events. If you do not wish to receive these announcements, please contact us and we will remove you from our mailing list.

We will not sell or provide your contact information to any other organisations who may be interested in making unsolicited contacts.

Disclaimer

Speed Dating Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual who does not conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, or who has not followed the guidelines given for conducting events. We also have the right to ask for proof of age ID. If you have lied about your age when signing up we have the right to refuse entry. In both these circumstances NO refund will be given. To participate in an Speed Dating Pty Ltd event you must be 18 years or older. Please do not attempt to register if you are under the age of 18. We have the right to ask for proof of age identification.

Speed Dating Pty Ltd cannot be held responsible for the actions of any person that you may meet through an Speed Dating Pty Ltd event. Speed Dating Pty Ltd takes no responsibility for the actions of participants at or after an Speed Dating Pty Ltd event. You agree not to initiate any claim against Speed Dating Pty Ltd resulting from either social or dating activities and agree to hold Speed Dating Pty Ltd free from any liability.

Speed Dating Pty Ltd reserves the right to use any photos taken at any of our events for advertising or promotional purposes. If you do not wish for this to happen please notify us and we will respect your decision.

Disabilities

Most of our venues are either upstairs or in a small function room not suitable for wheel chair access. We have trialled one event with a customer in a wheelchair, which turned out very unsuccessful for the client, hosts and the venue involved. This in turn has lead us to unfortunately prohibit wheel chairs from our regular speed dating events. Other activities we run would be fine. We have successfully ran regular speed dating events with blind participants before, we ask that you email us first please.

Refunds

Please understand that planning for an Speed Dating Pty Ltd event is a very long and time consuming process. It is most important that we know who will be attending the event, in order to ensure that we have equal numbers of men and women. Unfortunately, once a ticket has been purchased, no refund or credit can be offered for cancellation or non attendance. Out of courtesy for our other guests, we ask that you please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Once cancellation has been made you cannot change your mind and expect to attend again. Refunds or credit MAY be given if we are notified at least 7 days before the event (less $5 admin fee). Credit is valid for up to 6 months. All attendees MUST confirm their attendance by 4:00pm the day before an event. We email, SMS and phone you. If you do not have the courtesy to get back to us in time, your ticket will be forfeited.

No admission, refund or credit after an event has already began. We advise everyone to arrive before 7:30. Our events start at approx 7:45-7:50, giving you more than enough opportunity to get there in time. Strictly no refunds for any special offers.

Incorrect Bookings (customer error)
Where error has been taken by the customer eg. Booking a ticket where an event is clearly marked **GUYS/GIRLS SOLD OUT**. In these circumstances there will be no refund or partial refund. We will transfer you to another future event.

Direct Deposit Bookings
All Direct Deposit transactions MUST be emailled to us. We have a number of deposits transferred each day into our bank account, if you do not email us your transaction details, how are we supposed to know you have paid ?
We do not hold tickets, if you do not email us your transaction details or pay after we are sold we will transfer you to another future event. If you do not wish to be transferred it is then the customers responsibility to contact their bank for a refund.

Incorrect Age Bookings
For deliberately trying to sneak into a younger age group, you will be placed into the next available event of the correct age bracket. NO REFUND or partial refund. If you are older than the "GUYS 30-43: GIRLS 29-39" bracket a $20 admin fee applies.

Due to a few people doing the wrong thing we now have to ask for photo ID. If you do not fall into the correct age category, you will not be allowed to participate in the event. No refund is given.

Non Attendance
By not attending and not notifying us, your details will be deleted from our database and you will not be invited or permitted to attend another one of our future events. In this case no refund will be issued.

MATCHES

ALL MATCHES ARE FINAL.
You cannot change your matches after they are sent, nor do we give out information on the people you did not select but ticked "yes" to you.

After each event we always get people asking us to double check their matches as we must have made a mistake. After double checking the matches, it seems our results are correct 99% of the time. Countless hours have been wasted by us and our hosts, double and triple checking matches only to find that the customer has made the error by not filling in the score card correctly and we were actually right the first time. We have had irrate customers abuse us, insisting our matches are wrong and we have obviously made an error. Time was once again wasted by our hosts having to fax their score card through to us, then us scan it and send it to the customer.

Our hosts go through the scorecards thoroughly and ask if there is any questions. No matter how many times we explain the cards there will always be one or two who manage to make an error in filling them out correctly. As much as customer service means to us, there is just not enough hours in the day to follow up with everyone's matches.

If you are 100% sure we have made an error (eg. you have put the correct number with the correct name), there is a $30 fee for us to double check your scorecard. If you are correct we will gladly refund your money 125% and electronically send your original scorecard to you.
